Konya İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü (Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education) is a public institution responsible for the planning and coordination of all kinds of education and training activities in pre-school, primary, secondary and adult education in Konya province. There are 2,682 schools, 500,975 students and 34,648 teachers in Konya center and 31 districts. Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education is the regional umbrella organization for all these schools and institutions.
Konya İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü has been actively involved in European Union supported projects since 2006. We are trying to transfer and adapt all useful and innovative practices in partner countries to our education system. We are confident that improving the quality of education in our city and offering new opportunities to our future generations is possible with qualified teaching staff. We are responsible for strengthening the teaching profession of our teachers, which is why we organize various in-service training courses for our teachers to improve their basic and transversal skills. In our understanding, there is not a single individual who can be sacrificed in education.
